The master workshop on self-publishing as a business model. Learn how to plan, create, layout, design, publish, print, and promote your own books.
One of my favorite ways to make a living helping other people is infopreneurship–making money with your mind. And a great way to spread the knowledge and experience you have to others at a low price point (while still making significant + recurring income) is printed books and workbooks.
People still love printed books and workbooks. They are fun to hold, learn from, and write in. Now, if I told you there was a way for you to create and publish printed books, without having to deal with order fulfillment and inventory costs, would you want to give it a try?
I started making a decent part-time income off of printed books over two years ago. I learned the ins and outs of establishing my own small publishing house and pursuing book publishing as a business model. And let me tell you, my ninja friend, it’s a legit business model. My printed books now make a full-time income by themselves, without even factoring in eBooks. And I want to show you how I do it.
Zero to Self-Published Book is a master class and workshop on self-publishing where I’ll be showing you all the actual, legit, behind-the-scenes stuff I do to create printed books. You will actually see me as I upload my newest book (on blogging) into the CreateSpace software I use to publish my books to Amazon.
Zero to Self-Published Book is a master class and workshop on publishing your own print books. Everything from planning, researching, writing, laying out, and designing your book to creating a small publishing house, getting your own ISBN numbers, publishing, printing (or rather, having it printed and fulfilled for you), and promoting your book will be covered.
Zero to Self-Published Book is a set of 4 recordings (three occurred live on August 27, 28, and 29, and one is an additional tutorial on designing book promotion images) that you get access to. Registering for Zero to Self-Published Book now will get you lifetime access to these recordings (of the 7 major sections of publishing a book).
This course will take you through the most effective process of outlining, researching, and planning your book. I’ll show you exactly what I’ve done when writing my shortest + longest printed books (and eBooks too).
If you happen to be under the impression that you can’t write a book in a month or less, I say unto you . . . that’s simply not accurate. I’m going to show you how to get this done–even if you’re working a full-time job (just sayin’ . . . I’ve done this). I’ll also give you my top tips on self-editing your work and hiring a freelance editor.
Learn how to lay out your book’s interior to meet print standards and to look professional and attractive. You will discover exactly how you can use Apple Pages for a printed book–and I will also give you tips on getting set up in Adobe InDesign.
You will learn the exact way that I set up a print-ready book cover (and provide the right amount of room for the spine based on page numbers) in Adobe Photoshop. I think you’ll be surprised at how simple the process really is. You’ll even learn how that nifty little barcode gets on the back cover.
In this section, you’ll learn how to establish your own small publishing house (don’t worry, it’s pretty simple), how to protect your business and your written work (copyrights, insurance, etc.), and more.
I will show you your multiple options for getting your books printed and getting your orders fulfilled. You’ll watch me as I log into my publishing system and show you exactly how I order proof copies of books and publish them.
Finally, we will discuss how to launch your book, then set up sales pages, posts, workshops, and more to promote your book. You’ll also discover ways to get other people motivated to promote your work.
This master workshop is going to be intense. I won’t lie to you, it’s a lot. But y’all, seriously, creating printed books is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. You’re able to sell your books online, sell them at workshops, use them as giveaways, package them with courses, turn them into courses and workshops, package them with other products, and more.
When you register below, you are signing up for access to the recordings described below, but you’ll also receive the 30-page workbook, access to all the recordings (for the lifetime of the course), and any additional resources, tutorials, or materials developed.
