Grow Your Blog Traffic With Social Media: The eKit

by Regina

Grow Your Blog Traffic with Social Media

So. I made an eKit for you and it’s all about using social media to grow your blog and start selling your products. It tells the secrets of how I grew my own blog traffic 4000% in two months.

“What’s an eKit?” you ask. Imagine a workbook, e-book, and self-paced class rolled into one with some extra spreadsheets, cheat sheets, and checklists (byRegina-style). Imagine your mind being blown by a 268-page PDF and it’s accompanying materials. That’s an eKit.

Promote Your Blog with Social Media: The epic eBook and eKit from byRegina.com

Grow Your Blog Traffic With Social Media (or GYBTWSM as I like to awkwardly refer to it in conversation) has finally released (and is on sale! normally it’s $67), and I’m excited to tell you more about my first eKit.

Grow Your Blog Traffic With Social Media: The eKit

Do you want to be more effective at leveraging your blog and social media accounts to grow your blog traffic? Perhaps you want to know a few secrets of how I grew my blog traffic 40x in two months? Wonder what all the hype about [insert social media platform here] is?

This 100-page now over 250-page eKit contains:

  • 9 major lessons/sections on setting up your blog to be share-worthy: (1) Social Media Strategy Overview, (2) Creating a Share-Ready Blog, (3) Twitter, (4) Pinterest, (5) Facebook, (6) Instagram, (7) Google+, (8) YouTube, and (9) LinkedIn
  • my list of the 25 most effective types of content to share on social media (which I’ve included at the bottom of this post as a free download because I love you) and tips on which types of content fit best in each social platform
  • several checklists to keep you on track with your social strategy
  • each social media lesson includes: an audit + checklist, common lingo + etiquette, how to be effective, how to sell, a style guide exercise, quick tips to grow your following, three pages of partner worksheets to go through the class and get feedback/challenges from a partner, and much more
  • a byRegina-ton of worksheets to help you get organized
  • a guide to getting your blog “share ready”
  • goal-setting sheets and timeline sheets
  • cheat sheets for the most effective image sizes + types in each platform
  • guided lessons
  • real life screenshots and examples
  • additional mini case studies and examples from other experts
  • a crazy valuable Tools + Resources List that will help you create and promote the best content every time
  • my humor and sarcasm (that’s at least a $67 value right there, no?)

From experience with clients and my own blog, I’m confident you can see major blog growth through an actionable plan, consistency, and a few key strategies. I created this eKit to be the guide that will get you there. I won’t lie–it’s a lot of work, but you will love yourself for it. #IPromise

This looks awesome! I really need to get into doing worksheets- I’ve got random papers scattered all over my office right now… it’s not pretty!

    • regina says:

Haha Margo. I do think worksheets are such an empowering tool for your clients. Plus, you make everything so pretty. Your stuff would be irresistible. Thanks for stopping by.

  2. Penelope says:

I’m >this< close to ordering the kit, (and making you the first ever person I actually gave money to for advice!) but I have a question. I only use Pinterest, IG and my blog for social network, so is it still worth it for me, being that I would be 100% ignoring any stuff about Twitter/facebook/linkedin/probably youtube as well? I would like to revive my Flickr presence- could I adapt the advice for that?

    • regina says:

Penelope, first, thank you for your comment and even considering allowing me to be the first person you give $$ to for advice. Huge honor. Also, it made me laugh . . . I understand the feeling.

So, the sections that I believe will be of use to you are (1) the blogging tips (which include ways to optimize your blog for shares–P.S. checked out your blog and you already seem to have a handle on pretty images, for sure); (2) the Pinterest tips and strategies; (3) ditto Instagram; (4) the goal-setting section so that you can really begin/continue to measure your progress in an organized way; (5) the timeline section that helps you spread out your social “duties,” and (6) the tools + resources. I also think you might just browse over the other sections for tips you can apply to Flickr and other accounts, but also to see if you might want to add a new platform in the future.

I plan to use the e-Kit to hold specific webinars + seminars in the future that relate to just one of the platforms at a time . . . so maybe you could hop on then? I don’t know what price it will be offered at then, so the real benefit for you now might be savings. I only want you to spend money that will bring back far greater value than what you paid out. I think the e-Kit will be extremely useful to help people get organized and be aware of the features of the platforms they’re already on.

However, you can always hold off until more + more details are released, so it’s a more comfortable purchase for you.

Either way, thank you for reading + for commenting and again, even for considering the purchase. I really appreciate that.

  3. Sierra says:

I need this!!! Preordering as soon as I get paid this or next week 😉

    • regina says:

Aww. Thank you Sierra. I hope you’ll enjoy it. I appreciate that you took some time to stop by and to comment.

  4. Erika says:

*whines about not needing to spend money right now but ugggggh do want*

  5. Oh my goodness I’m excited!! I expected this to cost an arm and a leg but I looked anyway. And immediately purchased it. Didn’t even read the post first, honestly. Aside from some ebooks off amazon, you’re the first to get my money on something like this haha 🙂

It’s definitely something I’ve been struggling with and I can’t wait to see what’s inside!

    You’re awesome, really.

    • regina says:

That is such a huge compliment. So sweet of you. I promise I always look forward to reading what you have to say. Aww, but to say you didn’t even read the post first . . . haha . . . that’s BIG. Thank you.

I truly hope it will be helpful and un-myst some of the mystery in certain social platforms. Thanks for stopping by, as always.

      • Aww that’s so nice that I’m appreciated! I mean every word I say, you’re welcome. You’re one of my favorites and seem like such a sweet gal! (And if I remember right, I think you’re a coffee chick like me!)

I’m looking forward to it and I’ll DEFINITELY let you know how awesome it is! 🙂

  6. Ordered! Definitely need to up my social media game so I am really looking forward to this. Thank you! 🙂

  7. I didn’t even need to read the whole post; you had me at “So”. I just ordered-woohoo! I am going to have work on patience until Sept…This is like knowing that Santa got you what was on your list, but having to wait a month to get it. Girl, you know how to build the anticipation.

    • regina says:

Awww Heather. You’re one of my favorite people. Thank you so much. I appreciate the support and the pre-order. I’m so excited for you to see it.

Haha to your Santa analogy. That makes me smile so much.

  8. Naomi says:

This sounds truly epic! Can’t wait to read it and start applying it to my daily routine. You’re a rockstar.

  9. Maru says:

This sounds amazing Regina, I can’t wait to read it! I’m glad to see you back 🙂

  10. Wow! Can’t wait to dive in! Thanks again, Regina!

    • regina says:

Arianne, thank you for the sweet tweet and for taking the time to comment here. It legitimately means so much to me.

  11. Chrissy says:

Hello friend! It’s been a while. I will say I just bought this on Saturday and I am so excited. Making some good progress on both of my brands/businesses and this eKit will only make things even better. Glad you are back, missed your awesome content and looking forward to more. Question: Have you( or do you) have a private Facebook Mastermind group? Cause if you do I wanna join 🙂

    • Regina says:

Chrissy, I’m terribly sorry to reply o your comment sooooooo late. Thank you for pre-ordering the eKit. It’s coming soon. I’m happy to know you’re excited about it. I’m just now sharing a screenshot of a sample lesson plan over on Instagram.

Answer: I don’t have a private Facebook group. Would you consider a Google+ one though?

Thank you for your wonderful comment.

  13. Izzy Leroy says:

Hello Regina, sounds like a n awesome eKit with very useful and implementable tactics.

I’m probably in the same boat as Penelope and was wondering if there will be much material/ideas about leveraging some of the main social media channels like Twitter and LinkedIn (There’s tones of info for Facebook out there).

My intern was commenting on this article about leveraging Groups from LinkedIn in order to increase our email list (http://goo.gl/HH6IWu). Do you think it is worth spending time and effort with this or just focus on creating content and letting your audience find it?

Thanks Regina and welcome back 😉

    • regina says:

Izzy, thank you for stopping by and reading + taking the time to comment. I apologize for getting back to you so late.

The eKit definitely has a section/lessons on both Twitter and LinkedIn. Twitter is actually one of my favorite platforms to grow my brand and I know several other bloggers who feel similarly. You can really do so much with it.

Unfortunately I don’t seem to be able to visit the linked site in your comment right now, so I can’t answer you fully on that. I do think the #1 focus should always be creating truly great content, but I also believe that (especially in the beginning) it is necessary to help your audience find your content and become aware of your brand.

I’ll try the link again later, Izzy. Thank you again for your comment and for welcoming me back.

  14. Kayla says:

See?! Here I am again! Sorry, I’m not sorry for stalking. I want this! I will have to wait for some extra blog cash to come in and then I’m on it!

    • regina says:

Haha Kayla, you’re the best. The support is epic. You make me happy. Sorry for replying to your comment so late. Please forgive me.

And, the eKit is coming soon. I’m pretty excited about it.

      Thanks for stopping by.

  15. susan says:

This looks like a terrific program, I just pre-ordered it. I’ve been looking for ways to improve my social media outreach and even signed up for a class from someone, which she ended up canceling. So this sounds perfect and an e-guide I can do at my own pace, yay! I’m enjoying so many of your posts and now the biggest problem is not spending too much time reading your stuff so I can focus on developing my own stuff. It’s a good problem to have – thanks, Regina!

    • regina says:

Susan, thank you for taking time out of your day to check this out and to comment. I appreciate that. I apologize for taking a few days to reply; such silliness.

Also, thank you for pre-ordering. It’s coming soon and I can’t wait to see what everyone does with it.

Your website is super pretty. I specifically love the blog page–I’m a huge fan of large photos. I’m wishing you continued success with your online presence. I’ll make sure to update you as soon as the eKit is ready.

  16. Casey says:

Is this still a pre-order item? I was presented with two different prices (one on sellfy and one on paypal) and in the end was only able to download a jpg file. Just want to make sure I’m not missing a step 🙂

    • regina says:

Yes, it’s still pre-order. It will be available next week and you’ll get an update. I just saw that your payment was regular price. Can I just refund $21 to that same email address you used? Thanks.

  17. Tiffany Ima says:

Alright Regina, I’ve been blog stalking you for a while now – it’s time to chime in!

This download is a great start for me (I want the workbook but gotta get some $$$ first). In the process of rebranding my blog inexpensively and opening an online store. Your advice is super helpful, and I WISH I could afford to just hire you. Until then I will just blog stalk you!

    Style Honestly

    • regina says:

Tiffany, you’re too funny. Thank you.

I know we’ve chatted via email, but I just want to re-state how excited I am about your brand. I will get around to talking about social media more and more on the blog, and will eventually have a few classes going as well. I think it’s just ridiculous how much free advertising you can do for yourself these days.

Thank you for leaving your thoughts. I appreciate that you took time to stop by.

Woohoo! I just ordered. I assume, as Casey said, the Sellfy is the pre order image? Can’t wait!!!

    • regina says:

Yes, Pamela. That’s just the pre-order image. I’ll be updating it with the actual PDF on Monday or Tuesday of next week.

I’m so honored that you made the decision to grab a copy of it. Thank you so much. I appreciate that you left a comment as well.

This looks great! and I am considering purchasing this, but I would like to know if there is a table of contents that I can see to get a better idea of exactly what is covered. I would also like to know if it’s a compilation of content that is found on your site, different content, or a mixture of both?

    Thank you.

    • regina says:

Val, thank you for your comment, and I apologize for missing it. Attached is a table of contents and sample checklist of what is included for each section. The TOC is very to-the-point, so, to be more specific I included a sample section (on non-SM ways to promote your blog) so you can get a feel for my writing and also a Twitter checklist (which is the same for all the platforms) so you can see what each section contains.

The book is actually now split up into two items–a 175-page eBook and a 125-page workbook. This was done so that you can theoretically just read the eBook from a device and only print the workbook if you really wanted to.

This is not a compilation of content on my site. I don’t actually address social media platforms specifically on this site yet (other than a video on setting up Pinterest for bloggers). Thank you for taking the time to comment and leave questions Val.

    Hey Regina,
I have fallen in love with your work over the last week. I think I am totally going to order this. One question though: those awesome connect/share widgets in your sidebar; do you address those in this program?

Do you address that outside of your program?

    • regina says:

Nick, thank you, thank you for your comment. No, the connect widgets in my sidebar are WordPress plugins I use (ex: Simple Social Icon) or they are code I get directly from building a widget inside the social media platform. For example my Pinterest and Twitter feeds are from using the Pinterest Widget Builder and the Twitter Widget Builder while logged into my accounts.

I hope that is what you meant, but please let me know if now.

  38. Hi Regina. This looks great. Can you tell me if it will help me specifically with images? Posting images on the blog and then sharing? When I have shared my blog on Facebook, the images are turning out blurry. I want to get a handle on it before I go very far. Thanks!

    • regina says:

Hey Michelle, thank you for your comment. The book does not go into great detail on images other than the ideal sizes for each platform, and some of what makes effective images, and tips for using/including them.

The blurriness you’re experiencing may be due to the size and resolution of your photos. For Facebook, they should be at least 504 pixels wide and be at 72 dpi (which is a resolution you can save your images at).

  39. Cari says:

    Hi Regina!
I just wanted to say how AMAZING your blog is and give you a huge thanks for being so generous with all of your knowledge! I’m going through it all little by little…I am going to get this ekit definitely. Just a quick question before I do…do you yourself/do you teach spending money to advertise on Facebook? Can this be done successfully without it? many thanks!!!
    cari

    • regina says:

Cari, thank you so much for your sweet comment. In answer, I used to do Facebook ads for another brand, and every so often for this current brand I used to pay to promote an individual post–I don’t do either of those things anymore, but I believe thy were helpful for a time.

This book doesn’t go into detail on paid promotion with Facebook; it tries to focus on all the free ways to promote yourself on social media. Hope that makes sense. Thank you again for your comment.

Hi Regina! – I have recently stumbled upon your blog and I am overwhelmed with the amount of incredibly useful content that you have provided and took your time to write! I have slowly been working my way through your posts and this one caught my attention simply because I have a fashion blog (relatively new) and I am a fashion designer so in the future when I start to get samples made I would like to use my blog as a platform for my brand. But, I am struggling to utilise my social media platforms in a totally effective way. Do you think this kit would help my situation? Really the problem is people finding my blog, it might be something to do with my headlines or tagging, but I feel like I’m not providing my blog with the output it needs.
