Zero to Blog: The Details

July 6 – September 11, 2015 (with early access for early registrants)

For 10 weeks straight, we are going to focus on building your blog and online presence into a brand. You will discover growth methods that are authentic to you, and you will get to focus on creating a site that people love to visit. And you now have two options for Zero to Blog: a self-guided class + community or a guided experience + community. The schedule and content are the same for both versions, and I’ll explain more about the differences shortly . . . but let’s get back to the content.

You’ll learn to establish a blog with purpose, develop a serious content plan + business plan, grow your blog with social media but also in non-SM ways, and much more. How much more? You can open + download the full schedule and checklists for each day below. Just click on the image–and keep reading for an overview of each week.

Is there a theme song, or what?

I want to tell you more about the program, but it’d be irresponsible of me to not share that it has its own official rap video.

Who is Zero to Blog really for?

Someone with no blog at all but you want to start a meaningful one? Do you already have a blog or brand up and running, but are unsure what to do with it or how to grow it? Are you considering rebranding? Do you want a fresh start for your brand? Do you not have a website at all, but know you’ll be motivated enough to get one going within the next month?

P.S. Remember, if you already have a pretty well-established blog and you want to monetize it and grow your blog traffic, perhaps try Blog to Profit instead.

Is there an application process?

Not anymore, my friends. I don’t want to limit anyone who wants to grow their business, and after doing applications for the last two rounds of classes, I’ve seen that the creatives who apply are highly motivated and supportive of others (which makes for a great community experience).

So how does it work?

Every Monday (for 10 weeks, starting on July 6), you’ll get access to 5 days worth of lessons, videos, workbooks, worksheets, and resources. The lessons are hosted on a brand new, private class website with improved navigation + function.

Why is the whole week of materials released at once? Whereas it’s ideal to work through each day, there may be certain lessons on design, growth, getting established, etc., that don’t interest you as much as others, so you’ll have the ability to choose a different day and focus on what appeals to you most.

During the week, you’ll be able to hop into our private community (both the guided and self-guided version have one) and chat with your new blogger friends, ask for feedback, and participate in community Q+As.

What’s included in each option?

The Self-Guided Course

  • 10 weeks of training + resources, plus access to the materials all year (the lessons are exactly the same as the guided experience; there is no difference in course content)
  • a private Google+ community to converse with other bloggers
  • 1 weekly Q+A (in the community) where I answer questions specific to your situation for 3 hours (you can just leave your question there to be answered if you can’t make the live event)
  • starts on July 6, 2015 but you’ll get early access to the two workbooks and video lesson (listed earlier on the page) so you can get started

This course is currently closed.

The Guided Experience
